Must Read

Lilly Pulitzer recently announced the launch of its first-ever mobile website which will be compatible with all web-enabled mobile phones and optimised for the iPhone and Android devices.

The project is part of a key initiative for the company to increase availability and convenience for its shoppers, and the timing of the mobile launch is in the heart of the retailer’s busy summer season. Lilly Pulitzer, in business for over 50 years, provides apparel for women, children and men and a wide range of accessories, all inspired by the Palm Beach Lifestyle.

“Our customers are often mobile – whether for business or pleasure – and our goal is to be as accessible to them as possible and provide a consistent and positive experience for them, regardless of where they shop,” said Michelle Kelly, Vice President of E-Commerce, Online Marketing and Stores for Lilly Pulitzer. “We envision mobile becoming a core channel for our business in 2010 and over the coming years, so taking a strategic approach to mobile commerce with Digby has been exciting – and this is just the first step in a wide range of possibilities for leveraging mobile and catering to our customers whenever, wherever, and however they want to engage with us.”

The Lilly Pulitzer mobile Web store from Digby provides features for shoppers that are optimised for their mobile phones, such as:

  • Ability to browse and search across the entire catalogue
  • Rich product descriptions and full-colour images
  • Address book integration
  • Mobile optimised checkout
  • Store locator
  • Quick access to new arrivals
  • Seamless integration with existing backend cataloguing and order processing systems
  • Expanded optimisation for Android and iPhone to build on additional extensions

“Working with the team at Lilly Pulitzer is inspiring, because they truly ‘get’ mobile and how important it is for interacting with consumers now and in the future,” said Dave Sikora, CEO, Digby. “We are excited to launch Lilly Pulitzer’s presence in the mobile channel and look forward to working strategically with them on their mobile and customer strategy.”

The Digby Mobile Commerce Suite is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that will quickly enable Lilly Pulitzer to deliver a rich and unique mobile experience to their customers – anytime, anywhere. Lilly Pulitzer will now be able to offer a branded and customised storefront for the mobile Web for all major smartphone platforms. The result is a transformative user experience that enables consumers to easily search for merchandise and complete transactions right from their mobile phones.
