Tanishq, the jewellery arm of Titan Industries Ltd., launched a new range of high-value diamond jewellery titled `Diamonds of Class`. This is also a part of the initiative to highlight the wedding jewellery collection that the brand offers.
Sandeep Kulhalli, Vice President – Retail and Marketing, Tanishq shares, “The market size for diamond jewellery in India at present can be estimated as USD $ 3 to 4 billion. The demand for diamonds has been rising steadily and even the conventional gold buyer is now opting for diamond jewellery. As a part of our strategy, we are focussing on high-value jewellery that has a fine blend of the traditional-classy and modern-contemporary designs.”
Tanishq has a retail presence in 75 cities through 115 exclusive boutiques. The new `Diamonds of Class` is now available across these retail outlets. The collection comprises more than 200 exquisitely crafted designs of necklace, earring and bangles. There will be scope to customise as well. The price points vary between Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 25 lakh. The more elaborate pieces are priced around Rs. 1 crore. As far as expansion plans are concerned, Kulhalli adds, “Though I cannot share any figures of investment prior to our board meeting, which is scheduled for the end of this month, there is a plan of rolling out 17 Tanishq stores across India by the end of this financial year.”
