SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS dazzle IIJW

SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, the brand for all loose cut crystals manufactured by SWAROVSKI, showcased as the Trend Partners, spectacular installations and inspirational jewellery from across the globe at the premier India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) organized by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) from August 15-19, 2010.

Exclusive International pieces from SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS shows abroad that were brought to India specially to be showcased at IIJW were on display through out the venue. A wide range of collaborations with leading international designers and brands illustrates the versatile ways in which SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS can be employed in the jewellery segment. The exhibition included creations from Bodysteel & Silver Co., Bulatti, Chelsea Taylor, Erik Halley, Ideal Bijoux S.N.C, Jimmy Crystal Otazu, Kenneth Jay Lane, Sorrelli, Tarina Tarantino Viennois Fashion Je and Les Gens Du Sud amongst a total of 20 brilliant designs on display.

“We were delighted to be Trend Partners at the first India International Jewellery Week and hope to inspire the usage of the timelessly modern material SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, in the growing jewellery segment. The event served as an international platform for India’s budding and established designers and design houses and we aim to be the leaders in setting trends and fuelling the imagination of designers,” said Sanjay Sharma, Director, SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, Swarovski India Pvt. Ltd.

Creatively designed by Sumant Jayakrishnan, sections of the venue were decked with two bespoke yet dramatic chandelier installations made with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.

The focal installation, commemorating and glorifying the Indian jewellery talent, was a dramatic and distinguished 14-feet tall cascading chandelier made with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS housing a stunning jewellery piece made with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS by an international designer.

Another creative installation using the visual play of parallel glass panels juxtaposed and studded with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS added to creating a magnificent sparkling look. On the ramp, the glamour and sparkle of SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS shone through brilliantly in the ramp décor of Farah Khan’s show.
