Pearl`s Intl case study competition

Pearl Academy of Fashion, India’s premier fashion and design institute has organised an International Case Study competition on `Fashion Retailing and Marketing` on October 23, 2010 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. This competition is open to faculty members, trainers, researchers, students, consultants and working professionals.

Participants can register in the competition individually or in a groups of three. There are ten themes of this competition. The participant or group participants have to develop and cover those particular themes which include Fashion and Lifestyle Retailing, Fashion and Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Fashion Design and Retail, Luxury Retailing, Buying and Merchandising, Retail Marketing and Branding, Retail Operations, Strategy, Research and Planning, Sustainability.

Pearl Academy of Fashion is inviting original submissions of case studies relating to the themes of the competition. The last date of registration is August 30 and last date of case submission is September 30. Pearl Academy of Fashion will publish the best of the case studies in the form of a book and the author of the three best cases will be awarded cash prizes worth $1000 (1st), $750 (2nd) and $500 (3rd).

The case studies should reflect issues faced by the fashion retail industry. Understanding and interpreting data which support or challenge the existing or new assumptions should also be one of the main outcomes of the case studies.

The case studies will be evaluated and selected by a panel comprising academicians and heads of business institutes.
