Q Mart on an expansion spree

Q Mart, one of the leading lifestyle supermarkets in Andhra Pradesh, is planning to launch four new stores in 2011. The stores will come up in Secunderabad (AP), Visakhapatnam (AP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Pune (Maharashtra). BVK Raju, Partner, Q Mart Enterprises, says, “The average area of each store would be 20,000-35,000 square feet, and the company would invest around Rs5 crore in each store.” While the store in Secunderabad will be operational in January next year, the one in Visakhapatnam will open by March. The outlets in Pune and Bengaluru are slated to open by mid 2011.
