Beiersdorf to aggressively push Nivea’s travel retail business

German cosmetic giant, Beiersdorf, has revealed its plans to expand the travel retail presence of Nivea, its leading global skincare brand. At the TFWA World Exhibition held at Cannes in France, Beiersdorf announced that over 65 products and a variety of exclusive retail sets will now be available at airports, in airplanes, ferries and cruise lines. Travellers will be able to select from the Nivea Visage, Nivea for Men and Nivea Body lines, including personal care products, such as sunscreens, deodorants and shower products, besides Nivea Lipcare products. The newly-founded Beiersdorf Travel Retail division will implement the travel retail activities for Nivea in Europe, Middle East and Africa, followed by Asia and America. “We’ve been successful in expanding Nivea’s travel retail presence in the Middle East over the last three years. In cooperation with our best possible partner in Europe, Gebr. Heinemann, our first step is to establish a presence inside German airports, such as Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich, as well as airports in Copenhagen, Istanbul and Vienna, says Schutte, Director, Global Travel Retail, Beiersdorf.
