Vasari to enter Surat

Ethnic and formal wear brand Vasari, from the house of Sundri Apparels, is planning to enter Surat, Gujarat, with an exclusive outlet.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaRetailing, Mahesh Mohnani, director, Vasari, said, “We will be opening an exclusive outlet in Surat by the first week of November 2010. The store will be located on Ghod Dod Road.” An investment of Rs.3-4 crore will be made in the new store, he added.

The 13-store-strong brand is also keen on enhancing presence on high-streets of Lucknow, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, among other cities, for its exclusive outlets.

The brand is aiming at a revenue of Rs.80 crore this fiscal. "We will achieve this target by participating in exhibitions, shuffling the stock regularly, and providing quality products at a reasonable price,” Mohnani said. The brand is planning to expand its store presence through the franchise format, while also focussing on increasing its wholesale business.

Vasari currently has stores in New Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Punjab.
