Cinemax, multiplex chain in India from the house of Kanakia Group, has recently launched ‘Shiv-Cinemax’ – a three-screen multiplex in Ahmedabad. The new multiplex is Cinemax’s third in Ahmedabad and sixth in Gujarat.
Devang Sampat, president, Cinemax India Ltd, said, “With the launch of Shiv-Cinemax, we aim to strengthen our presence in Gujarat. Shiv-Cinemax is a step towards the reinforcement of our commitment to provide the best of Indian and international cinema to viewers across the country.” In Gujarat, Cinemax is also present in Gandhinagar, Rajkot and Himmatnagar.
With the launch of Shiv-Cinemax, the company now has 30 multiplexes and 97 operational screens. Cinemax plans to soon take the total screen count to 100 with new launches in Kolkata and Baroda.
