The Central Council for Research on Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) and the Department of AYUSH under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has initiated to popularise Yoga and Naturopathy in an effort to promote health awareness. A series of free camps are being planned across major cities of India over the next few months. The first camp will be conducted in collaboration with The Yoga Institute, Mumbai, where special counseling and training will be given to people suffering from hypertension, diabetes, respiratory disorders, obesity and other illnesses specific to women. Commenting on the initiative, Dr Chidananda Murthy, Director, CCRYN, says, “Yoga is the culture of India and the nation should benefit by it to make it mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally healthy.
