Unilever’s Matt Burgess to assume a new role

Unilever’s Marmite marketing head, Matt Burgess, is slated to move within the company to now head the UK skincare division. Burgess has been with the FMCG major for around 20 years and is currently the Managing Director for the iconic Marmite brand, as well as its Pot noodle, Peperami, Bovril and Slim-fasts brands. He will now move internally to a division that houses brands, lile Dove, Vaseline and Lux. Unilever’s skincare division has been expanded after last year’s acquisition of the personal care division of Sara Lee, which includes Radox, Brylcreem and Sanex. He will be responsible for integrating some of Sara Lee brands into Unilever’s existing skincare unit, and will report to Matt Close, Vice-President, Marketing – Home and Personal care division, Unilever UK and Ireland.
