Must Read

Premier fashion and lifestyle destination Shoppers Stop has recently launched another outlet in Bangalore – at Koramangala. The 44,000 sq.ft standalone store is the retailer’s fourth in Bangalore and 31st in the country.

The new store, spread across three levels, houses crème de la crème brands in cosmetics, perfumes, jewellery, personal accessories, ladies’ western wear and ethnic wear, kids’ apparel and toys, men’s formals, casuals, ethnic wear and sportswear.

On the opening of the new store in Bangalore, Govind Shrikhande – customer care associate, president and CEO, Shopper’s Stop Ltd, said, “The continued patronage from our Bangalore customers has greatly encouraged us to expand our presence in the city. With spacious interiors and a prolific variety of brands, we are certain our customers will be delighted to have an additional fashion destination in the city.”

Keeping with its ‘bridge to luxury’ positioning, the store houses an array of top notch brands such as Austin Reed, Mustang, s.Oliver, Jack & Jones, Guess, UCB, Sunglass Hut, among others. Shoppers Stop also retails a range of merchandise under its exclusive brands – Stop, Kashish, Life, Haute Curry, Elliza Donatein, Insense and Vettorio Fratini, among others.

Oracle Data Integrator deployed

Shopper’s Stop Limited, meanwhile, has deployed Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition as part of its enterprise data warehouse. With Oracle Data Integrator, the retailer will be able to reduce the time taken to refresh data to its data warehouse from half a day to one hour, which ensures managers receive timely sales, loyalty and inventory data.

The software will also help Shopper’s Stop Ltd to better analyse which products are selling through its stores across the country, and analyse customer-buying behaviour so they can maintain optimum inventory levels.

“IT helps optimise business and reduce operational IT budgets. Oracle has been a key component in helping us in our quest towards delivering value to business,” said Arun Gupta, customer care associate and group chief technology officer, Shopper’s Stop Ltd.

Stressing that managing information is the key in a highly competitive sector such as retail, Shailender Kumar, VP, Fusion Middleware, Oracle India, said, “The deployment of Oracle Data Integrator has enabled Shopper’s Stop Ltd to quickly integrate vast amounts of data from disparate systems, while reducing costs and improving efficiencies.”
