Odyssey rebrands The Eyewear Store; launches sixth Editions store

Must Read

Odyssey India Limited, a leisure store chain, has rebranded its optical store, The Eyewear Store, as Style i and will launch the new store at Mantri Square mall, Bangalore. The existing outlets of The Eyewear Store – in Hyderabad and Mumbai – will also be rechristened as Style i. Odyssey has also opened the sixth Editions store in India, at Express Avenue mall in Chennai.

On the rebranding of The Eyewear Store, T S Ashwin, managing director, Odyssey India Limited, says, “It is not a totally new concept or format. The original concept only had standalone optical stores. The ‘new’ concept has three formats – standalone optical stores with both prescription and sunglasses, stores in malls with only sunglasses, and shop-in-shops at Odyssey outlets with only sunglasses.”

Informing that the company has invested Rs.75 lakh in Store i at Mantri Square mall, Ashwin says, “The concept design has been made more contemporary and international, but the fundamental positioning as a premium and luxury eyewear destination remains.”

The new store, with an area of 900 sq.ft, opens today. The store has minimum guarantee and revenue sharing models with the mall.

The new Editions outlet at Express Avenue mall, on the other hand, is spread over an area of 1,302 sq.ft.

Luxury pen store Editions was first launched in India six months ago. The store offers international and well-renowned pens in various styles and patterns catering to pen lovers and corporate honchos.

Editions boasts of a range of pens varying from basic, premium-to-luxury and limited editions from the world over. The pens are priced as low as Rs.700 in the basic collections and go up to a few lakhs for luxury and limited edition pens. Also available at the store is a fabulous range of Quill pens from Francisco Rubinato.

The store also offers leather accessories such as pen pouches, wallets, and key chains, cuff links, etc from famous brands such as Visconti, Curtis, Online, Franklin Christoph and Diplomat.
