Junction mall, Durgapur to be operational in August’10

Junction, a mall promoted by Bengal Shrachi Housing Development Ltd, will become operational in Durgapur from August this year. Located at City Centre, the mall has a built-up area of 430,000 sq.ft and a gross leasable area of 330,000 sq.ft.

“Some of the key anchors at the mall are Shoppers Stop and Pantaloons. Shoppers stop will be approximately 42,000 sq.ft in area, while Pantaloons will have an area of 31,000 sq.ft. The area dedicated to the food court is approximately 15,000 sq.ft,” said Dibyendu Gupta, deputy general manager, Retail, Shrachi Group of Companies.

Gupta also said Bioscope would open a three-screen multiplex with a seating capacity of around 800.

Talking about the retailers present at the mall, Gupta said, “Those who have confirmed their arrival at the mall include Raymond, UCB, Crossword, Titan, Bata, Mainland China and KFC, among others.”

Currently, the property is 70 per cent leased out.
