Croma reaches 50-store mark

Infiniti Retail, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Tata Sons, has launched two more Croma stores – at Koramangala and Jaya Nagar in Bangalore – taking its store count to 50. Launched on June 25, the new stores, with 15,000 sq.ft area each, offer a variety of consumer electronics and durables including computers, air conditioners, refrigerators, cameras, etc.

Ajit Joshi, MD and CEO, Infiniti Retail, said, “Croma has set a new benchmark with the launch of 50 stores in a span of four years. These stores have been indicators of our successful growth nationally. Our differentiated product offerings and dedicated staff have built Croma into one of the finest consumer electronics chains in India.”

Asserting that Bangalore was a key market for Croma, Joshi said, “With the launch at Koramanagla and Jaya Nagar, we are six stores strong in the city and 11 in the southern region. The extensive array of brands available at Croma offers its customers a wide choice of products suiting their requirements.”

Infiniti Retail Ltd owns and runs Croma’s retail operations in India, while Woolworths provides technical support and strategic sourcing facilities from its global network. The first Croma store was launched in Juhu, Mumbai, on October 9, 2006.
