Rosebys Home Care Pvt Ltd, a joint initiative of Rosebys Interiors India Limited and Caretel Infotech Ltd, has launched a first-of-its-kind home maintenance service in India – HomeGenie.
HomeGenie offers four different kinds of services: maintenance of equipment (air conditioners, refrigerators, water purifiers, etc); domestic home care services (such as minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry work), provision of manpower (driver, gardener and physiotherapists); and personal care services – gifts and flowers (ordering and delivery) as well as buying assistance for home appliances and consumer durables and pathological services.
Aloke Banerjee, CEO, Rosebys Interiors India Limited, said, “HomeGenie is about giving peace of mind to people; our target group of customers is young, trendy and savvy people.”
Informing that the company has already made an investment of Rs.20 crore in CRM and back-end and plans to invest Rs.40-45 crore in brand building, Banerjee said, “The money we are investing is completely internal and we will be using ATL (above the line) and BTL (below the line) marketing strategies to promote HomeGenie.”
Amit Roy, CEO, Rosebys Home Care, said, “The gamut in the home care sector is unlimited and we will be expanding our services in this sector in the near future.”
The HomeGenie service will become functional in Noida from June 26 this year and the company plans to launch the service across India in the next 12 months.
To avail the services, a person needs to become a member by calling 60006100. There are two different membership packages: Good Friends (for an annual membership of Rs.4,999) and Best Friends (for Rs.7,999).
Members will have access to a dedicated 24×7 call centre, where they can call to ask for a service covered under their plan. Accordingly, a HomeGenie expert, the company says, will visit the customer’s home at an agreed time and repair the item.
Apart from a number of free services, such as minor electrical works, minor carpentry, floral delivery, etc, HomeGenie offers a number of paid services like printer cartridge refill, physiotherapists and BP/sugar checking services.
For driver and gardener placement, the company will charge a half month’s wages as one-time placement charge and replacement charges (if the personnel leaves within 60 days).
