Chinese apparel retail giant Yishion to enter India

Yishion Group, the apparel retailer from China, has officially declared its plans to foray into the Indian market. The company plans to open 25 outlets and 75 shop-in-shops across the country before 2013.

Yang Juan,VP, International Marketing, Yishion, said, “Over the last two years, Yishion has already invested in India in terms of market research, market surveys and contact with leading retailers across the Indian market. We have earmarked our expansion plans, along with the investments, for the next three years. This will be used towards new store set-ups, advertising and marketing, among other things. We are targeting a turnover of Rs.100 crore by the end of 2012-2013.”

The company has earmarked a sum of Rs.3 crore for advertising and promotional activities over the next 12 months across cities they plan to venture into.
