Editions opens in Palladium, Mumbai

Editions, the latest venture of Odyssey India Ltd, has opened an exclusive store in Mumbai at Palladium mall. The store, spread over an area of 500 square feet, is set to house international luxury and hand-crafted pens ranging from basic, premium, luxury to the limited editions from across the world.
 
Speaking exclusively to IndiaRetailing, Vaideshwaran N, business head, Editions says, “Our pens range from Rs. 700 in the basic collections to 60 lakhs for luxury and limited edition pens. However, the price varies depending upon the location. For instance in Khan Market, Delhi, the prices start from Rs 3000”.

Roberto Sacchi, vice president, International sales and marketing, Visconti says, “We are planning to launch another EBO by the end of 2011 and Odyssey India shall be our exclusive partner in India”.
 
The company plans to open five Editions stores in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad over the next three months and total 10 such stores will be setup by the end of 2010 across all metros. "The company is looking at an investment of at least Rs. 25 crores over the next 12 months on these projects," reveals T S Ashwin, managing director, Odyssey India Ltd.
 
Editions possesses collections of  international brands like Visconti, Delta, Marlen, Stipula, Paraphernalia and Quill pens from Francisco Rubinato from Italy; David Oscarson, Krone, Think, Conklin, and Franklin Christoph from USA; Kynsey from Spain, Curtis from Australia, Online, Waldmann, Diplomat and Cleoskribent from Germany. Editions has an exclusive official tie-up with all these brands to promote and market their products in India.
 
With the opening of this store in Palladium, now Editions has total three stores in India including first store in Ampa Skywalk mall, Chennai and second in Inorbit mall, Hyderabad. However, its parent company Odyssey India Limited, 100 per cent subsidiary of Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd, has 50 stores across India in both exclusive and shop-in-shop format.
