Tips on using Airbrush make-up

Practice the strokes for airbrush make-up on paper before trying it on skin.

Combine airbrush make-up with other techniques, especially for eye areas.

Use the airbrush as a make-up brush, not in the manner of a stencil or spray.

Air pressure should be set between zero and one.

Practice until you can work out the right distance from the client’s face depending on whether you are creating a line or blending color. 15 cm is the normal distance; less for eye shadow.

Make sure you have special make-up remover so that it is easier to remove this make-up.

Separate the parts of the airbrush equipment to clean each time you finish.

Eyes and lips are better off done with traditional techniques unless you are creating fantasy styles.
