Dabur completes acquisition of Fem Care Pharma

Fem Care Pharma, a strong player in the women’s skincare segment is now a subsidiary of Dabur India after the acquisition was completed on June 25.

Dabur had earlier acquired 72.15 percent of Fem for Rs 203.7 crores, but after obtaining regulatory approvals the company now has an additional 20 percent stake for Rs 54 crores.

“With this acquisition, Dabur has consolidated its position as a leading Indian consumer goods company with presence across key categories like skincare, haircare, oral care, health care and foods,” says Sunil Duggal, Chief Executive Officer, Dabur India Ltd. “The completion of this acquisition represents a significant step for Dabur in our strategy to accelerate growth in our core FMCG business,” he adds.

Fem Care Pharma has a strong presence in the fairness bleach category along with hair removal and liquid soap category. It’s brands include Oxybleach cream, Botanica anti-ageing cream, Stratum colour protecting hair conditioners and SAKA men’s bleach.

The company also has a sizeable international market presence in markets such as Yemen, Maldives, Mauritius, Malaysia, UAE, Oman etc.
