Kolkata gets first HomeTown store

HomeTown, the concept of comprehensive home making store of Home Solutions Retail (India) Ltd, a part of Future Group, has opened its first store in Kolkata. Spread over 2 lakh square feet retail space, the newly launched store is located at New Town, Rajarhat, close to city’s IT hub. Further, HomeTown also plans to offer fast and easy consumer loans through ‘Future Money’ for purchases at HomeTown.

Speaking on the store launch, Mahesh Shah, CEO, HomeTown, said, “HomeTown promises to offer customers a convenient shopping experience. The store has a good mix of products for budget-buyers, aspirational buyers and lifestyle buyers, with an underlying principle of keeping traditions alive in a contemporary world.”

We are confident that Kolkatans will find products unlike what they have seen so far. Moreover, the services like design and build that HomeTown offers will surely enhance the value proposition to our customers, added Shah.

This HomeTown will also have a Food Bazaar, which is spread across 4000 sq.ft .The store is divided into three sections – exhibitions, markets and services. The exhibition section offers over 175 live displays consisting of 30 living room settings, 10 dining room settings, 25 kids room settings, 30 bed room settings, 50 kitchen settings, 35 bath room settings and 3 dream home setting. While market section features products like sofa sets, dining tables, beds, kids furniture, kitchen fittings, bathroom fittings, furnishings, mattresses, paints, tiles, electrical fittings, decor lighting and plywood including consumer durables and electronics products through shop-in-shop eZone, services section offers the unique ‘Design & Build’ service that provides services from interior designing to installation.

The company currently operates eight HomeTown stores in India. The other seven stores are located in Noida, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Indore.
