Kaya steps out

Must Read

Kaya Skin Clinics have come out with an aggressive new marketing and growth package this summer. The brand has appointed its first brand ambassador in several years, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and announced a series of specialized services for summer.

The launch of both events happened simultaneously at an event at Le Meridien in New Delhi, with a fashion show, a pledge by Kaya Skin Clinic CEO Rakesh Pandey and a speech by the new brand ambassador.

“People are still to understand the importance of sunscreen and of protecting their skin in the best ways possible. We at Kaya are making that process easier, by offering a whole range of bespoke services, especially personalized for your specific skin type,” says Rakesh Pandey, telling Salon India that the brand will continue to grow in this first quarter of the financial year 2009-10. “We will launch 15 new skin clinics by June,” he says.

Kaya generated a turnover of about Rs 100.84 crores during 2007-08 and has 74 clinics across 23 cities in India, and 11 in the Middle East. In June 2007, Kaya Skin Care Ltd. announced the launch of Kaya LifeTM, its chain of professional Weight Control Centres.

“We are still unique and at the forefront of this growth,” he observes. “All of our centers are owned by the company in a time where most others follow the franchise route. We have found this to be the best way of maintaining quality control.”

Kaya, which has long offered peels, and technology driven solutions has also introduced more of a pampering element, says Dr Snehal Sriram, Head-Medical Services of Kaya Skin Clinic.
