Splash wins marketing campaign of the year award

Splash – the fashion retailer and part of the Dubai based Landmark Group has bagged the Retail Middle East (ME) Awards 2008 for the third consecutive time from The Ministry of Economy held in Dubai. This is the fourth annual Retail ME Awards that bestowed the title of ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year 2008’ for its ad-campaign ‘Eye on Design’ to Splash.

The Retail ME Awards is given to organisations that have outstanding achievements in their respective fields. The panel of judges comprises a celebrated dais of industry experts who are chosen for their business acumen, knowledge and experience of the global and Middle East retail markets.

According to Raza Beig, CEO, Splash, “Winning the award for a third consecutive year in one of the most competitive categories makes us more overwhelming than usual. ‘Eye on Design’ is a reality that we are committed to deliver and that have come to form the very foundation of our business philosophy.”

Splash launched its ‘Eye on Design’ brand statement across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jordan, India and Egypt with its ‘Autumn-Winter’08’ collection in September 2008. The ad campaign’s unique imagery with the Splash barcode bag over the model’s head highlighted a capsule collection of the best of the pieces at unimaginable value aimed its fashion savvy customers.

Splash has received the 2005 Retail Middle East Award for ‘Business Excellence’ and ‘Marketing Campaign’ for three consecutive years at the Retail ME Awards in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and also has been listed in Forbes Arabia’s “Top 40 Arab Brands” list.
