South India’s leading jewellery retailer Bhima Jewellers has partnered with retail technology provider MphasiS to revamp its retail operation. As part of the plan, MphasiS has devised and implemented a unique solution for Bhima across its stores that caters to the manually-intensive jewellery retail business, according to a company press release.
On this association, N Gopalakrishnan, MD, Bhima & Brothers Jewellers – Mysore, said, “Successful implementation of the solution has led to an 83 per cent effort reduction in stock reconciliation activities with 100 per cent accuracy. By partnering with MphasiS, we have addressed our operational challenges and maximized efficiencies.”
The solution comprehensively addresses the needs of speed, billing accuracy, shrinkage prevention and near-real time stock accounting. It also enables the product information to be available on handheld PDA readers and point-of-sale billing mechanisms that automate the billing activity, added the release.
Bhima currently operates six showrooms across Kerala, Chennai and Bengaluru. Further, it has opened its outlets in Europe, the US and West Asia.
