India’s leading food retail chain Comesum Food Junction will add 10 more outlets to its existing 20 outlets. Talking to IndiaRetailing, Abhishek Agrawal, executive director, Comesum Food Junction said, “We have 20 outlets across India; all owned and operated by the company. Further, more than 10 outlets are in the pipeline.”

Further, he said that the company prefers company owned outlets. However the company has introduced the franchise concept also, but keeps the total management rights with it, added Agrawal.

When asked about the preferred locations of expansion among metros, tier II or ties III, he said that location does not matter as the company’s nominal pricing with utmost quality, health, hygiene and services makes it a favoured brand among consumers.

Further the company is also considering the possibility of exploring the overseas market. Though Agrawal did not mention about the country, however he did mention “Yes, we are planning to open our outlets in overseas market but that is still in the pipeline.”

“As the love and need of Indian food is increasing day by day, we are preparing ourselves to explore the foreign market also” he further added.

Discussing the ongoing financial slowdown, Agrawal commented, “Economic slow down obviously has affected the globe but as compared to the other industries and walks of life, food industry is less affected because every one needs good food and food is everybody’s requirement.”

No matter there is a slowdown, the need for food stays, added Agrawal.
