Somany to strengthen presence in south, west India

India’s leading player in ceramic industry Somany Ceramics’ sanitary ware division Somany Aquaware has announced its plans to strengthen its presence in country’s western and southern market.

“Going forward, we aim to strengthen our presence across western and southern India. We recently ventured in west with Nagpur, Pune and Mumbai and are entering Goa this month. We entered the southern market with Coimbatore, Calicut, Hyderabad and Bangalore and we plan to move into Chennai and Cochin,” informed Anil Kumar Beejawat, president, Somany Ceramics.

Further, the company has also tied up with leading sanitary ware manufacturers in China to import its range of premium aquaware products like Cheri Coordinated Bathroom set, Kallis Wash Basin, Ren Art Basin and Spice Two Piece Toilet among others.

Meanwhile, Somany is also planning to open around twelve exclusive stores throughout the country by 2010, where a wide range of aquaware and tile products would be available, added Beejawat.
