Oriflame launches anti-ageing cream Diamond Cellular in India

Oriflame India, a part of Swedish wellness major Oriflame, has launched a new anti-ageing cream Diamond Cellular for women in India. This is the first launch of the variant in Asia-Pacific region. Further, the company has planned to add around 400 new products in this year with its existent 600 products portfolio, informed a top company official.

Speaking to IndiaRetailing, Fredrik Widell, MD, Oriflame India, said, “In India we are the fastest growing direct sales company. We are growing for the last three years at 50 per cent year-on-year and we are expecting the same growth rate for the new product as well. We will launch another 400 new products in India in 2009.”

“With just 13 years of operations in India, we see a big opportunity of our brand here. From Oriflame’s perspective, India is one of the three key markets we are looking forward. The other two markets include Russia and China. We want to triple our growth rate in India in the next five years,” added Widell.

The newly launched product is priced at Rs 2190. Oriflame has presence in over 62 countries. Besides India, the company is present in countries including Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, China and Iran in Asia-Pacific regions.
