North India’s leading ethnic women’s wear brand Chhabra555 is all set to launch casual wear range for women soon. The new collection will be launched in the forthcoming Wills Fashion Week 2009 to be held in the next month. Further, the company plans to open around 10 new stores in this year to carry the total number of stores to 40 by the end of 2009, informed a top company official.

Speaking to IndiaRetailing, Jagdeep Chhabra, managing director, Chhabra Triple Five Fashions Pvt Ltd, said, “In March 2009, we will be launching casual wear for women that will include stitched suits and stitched lehngas among other products.”

“Ethnic wear market is very good in India and is expanding at a promising growth rate. We are growing at 25-30 per cent year-on-year. We want to go pan-India and will open majority of our next 10 stores, planned for 2009, in the west and the south India,” added Chhabra.

Meanwhile, the company also enjoys presence through online shopping site. However, Chhabra disclosed that the company’s revenue generation through online shopping site is very less. “Our customers want to touch and feel the products and then buy it. But I believe over the next 2-3 years, the customers’ mind set will get changed and then our online shopping site will generate huge revenues for us,” added Chhabra.

Beginning with one store in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area, the company currently operates 30 retail outlets in India.
