IFA brings in Critics Choice Awards this year

For the resilience and sustainability shown in a highly competitive marketplace and remarkable difference made by the organisations in the business of fashion over the years, the ninth annual Images Fashion Awards (IFA) introduced a new concept of Critics Choice Awards this year. The five captains of the Indian fashion and retail industry which were honoured for their contribution were Triumph, Central, The Loot, Manyavar and Spykar.

Innerwear brand Triumph bagged the honor of Critics’ Choice Award in the Upgradation catergory. Future Group-owned Central and discounted store retail chain, The Loot got awarded for their Retail Concept Creation.

Followed by Ravi Modi-promoted ethnic menwear brand Manyavar which was awarded the IFA Critics’ Choice for pioneering effort in Category Creation. Further, the lifestyle apparel retailer Spykar swept the honor of Brand Creation in the Critics’ Choice category.

Meanwhile, IFA also had an additional category for a brand that had not just created India’s more successful consumer brands but had also moved fast to constantly stay ahead of the competition. It was the Most Admired Timewear and Jewellery Brand which was bestowed to Titan Industries. As with the Titan and Tanishq brands, the group has established clear leadership over all other contenders.
