Welspun launches mobile retail format ‘Wheel Home’

Must Read

The retail arm of Welspun Group — Welspun Retail — has decided to adopt policies to go to the customer’s home directly with newly launched brand Wheel Home in home décor segment, reports Mint.

As part of the plan, the mobile vans will carry around 50-100 products directly to the customer’s home from nearby Welhome stores, the report adds.

Deepali Goenka, director, Welspun Retail, said, “This kind of format helps a lot as it does not call for huge investments, but still reaches to the right audience.”

“We have introduced the format not only to save on real estate costs, but also to create brand awareness,” added Goenka.

Currently, Welspun is operational with 250 Welhome stores, of which 102 are company-owned and the rest franchised. It plans to launch Wheel Home in places including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Punjab in the next eight months with two vans for each region.
