LivTek targets Rs 700 mn turnover by 2010; to move to tier II & III cities

Expecting the total size of lifestyle products market in India to reach to around Rs 3 billion by 2010, lifestyle retail arm of MB Group, LivTek India is targeting a sales figure of over Rs 700 million by 2010.

V B Srivastava, sales manager — north and east, LivTek India, said, “We have not seen any impact of downturn in our sales in this current economic slowdown and our products have been faring well among customers so far.”

“We market our products through outlets such as Oxford, Starmark and Crossword. Further, we are penetrating into the growing market and are in talks to tie-up with leading retailers to open another 60 stores in metros, tier II and III cities in the next year,” added Srivastava.

Currently, the chain is operational with 110 stores across the country and plans to expand its reach to 170 stores by having presence in cities including Gurgaon, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Jaipur and Lucknow.
