Shoppers Stop has opened its Mothercare store at Inorbit Mall, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. With the opening of this store, the company now has 21 Mothercare stores under its operation. Out of these 21 stores, while 9 are stand alone stores, the other 12 are shop-in-shops.
With an exclusive franchisee agreement with UK-based specialist retailer for infant and toddler care, Shoppers Stop, part of K Raheja Group, has brought Mothercare PLC to India.
Meanwhile the Mumbai-based company has also closed down one of its Crossword outlets at Andheri, Mumbai. With the closing of this store, the company now has 54 Crossword stores.
Crossword Bookstores offer a product mix of books, magazines, CD-ROMs, music, stationery and toys, etc along with cafés and reading space within the store.
