Adlabs posts 49 pc revenue growth in Q2

Adlabs Films Limited, a part of Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, has announced its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008. The Mumbai-based country’s leading entertainment conglomerate recorded 49 per cent revenue growth YoY in September 2008.

According to an official press release, the cinema division of the company grew by 119 per cent to 890 million in the quarter. While company’s film processing and services division recorded a 75 per cent increase to 380 million, the film production and distribution business contributed 700 million. Meanwhile, television content business also increased to 140 million from Rs 10 million last year.

Commenting on the performance, Anil Arjun, CEO, Adlabs Films, said, “All our business segments have recorded strong growth. Our exhibition chain BIG Cinemas has crossed a mark of 400 screens worldwide.”
