Rosebys to explore Indian decor market

Britain’s renowned specialist textiles and home furnishings retailer, Rosebys is all set to get its pie in Indian decor market which is estimated to be Rs 100 billion. With an investment of Rs 2.5 billion, the company plans to achieve a turnover Rs 10 billion by end of the 2011-12 through a launch of 650 exclusive stores.

The company has also signed up bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan as its brand ambassador.

In the beginning, the company will take franchise route to begin its expansion. The initiative will author a launch of 150 franchise stores of 600-1,200 square feet within next six months in all metros and tier I and II cities, said Aloke Banerjee, CEO, Rosebys.

Rosebys will introduce 75 designs to Indian market, which would be prepared by various designers of the UK, USA and India.

Describing company’s strategy, Banerjee said, “To begin, we are introducing four broad lines with themes including Eco Chic, Geo Retro, Indulgence and Peony Garden.”

On company’s target customers, Banerjee said, “We are targeting the young women in 25-35 years age category for giving them an all-inclusive luxury home solutions at an affordable price.”
