Must Read

Virgin Mobile, the UK-based mobile service provider in India, has announced the launch of its online retail space to sell its entire portfolio catering to urban youth, its prime consumer base.

Speaking to media on the launch, MA Madhusudan, chief executive officer, Virgin Mobile India, said, “It is estimated that 4 out of 5 online Indians either search or buy products online making the base of ‘online shoppers’ in India at around 28 million. So, we find it logical to extend our presence to the online space and offer our customers the convenience and comfort of buying a Virgin mobile connection through the internet as around 44 per cent of the total internet users in India belong to the age group between 19 and 24 years.”

“We are confident that we will receive a positive response on this initiative and are hopeful of acquiring a significant portion of our customer base through our online channel over the next two years”, he added.

In this plan, customers will be rewarded through free talktime, SMSes, lifetime validity and free prepaid connection on purchase of every handset.
