Sia Art Jewellery (SAJ), one of the leading artificial jewellery retailers in India, has planned to open around 150 stores across the country, including 15 in Gujarat, within two years. The stores will follow the shop-in-shop format.
Speaking to media at the launch of a store in Vadodara, Nitesh Chheda, vice-president, SAJ Retail, said, “Sia Art Jewellery stores will have their presence across the country through 300 shop-in-shops by 2011.”
Established in Mumbai in 1995, the company has designed various collections for Bollywood and TV soaps, and wants to strengthen its presence in the retail market. “The art jewellery market is worth Rs 1,500 crore in the country, out of which Gujarat’s share is 40 per cent,” Chheda informed.
