Ballyfabs to develop recyclable bags; expanding business

Must Read

“We are focussing on the use of eco-friendly bags and working towards developing an affordable alternative for polythene bags. As paper bags are not an eco-friendly option, we shall build a long-lasting recyclable alternative that is convenient for retailers and consumers,” Arun Jain, business head, Ballyfabs International, told Indiaretailing on the sidelines of Pure and Play.

The Jute Shop is the jute bag retail chain of Ballyfabs International, the West Bengal-based jute bags manufacturer. “We have finalised various spaces in and around West Bengal, and will also open in the western part of the country. About 80 of our exclusive stores will be operational by the end of 2009,” Jain informed.

The stores will be a mix of franchisee and company-owned outlets.
