West Pioneer eyeing southern market

Mumbai-based real estate company West Pioneer has planned to develop malls in tier II cities in the South. The company has three ongoing projects in western India, one each in Kalyan, Aurangabad and Nashik

Sharing plans with the media, Jayant Sohonie, CEO, West Pioneer, said: “For our projects in the South, apart from focusing on strategic locations in tier II cities, we will also consider mixed developments with hotels attached to the malls.” The company plans to develop malls in cities such as Bengaluru, Kochi, Goa and Hyderabad.

The company’s first retail project, which is being developed in Kalyan near Mumbai, will offer about 750,000 square feet of retail space. “The project is about 80 per cent complete,” informed Sohonie.
