Kimaya, one of the country’s largest designerwear chains, has planned to expand its presence in smaller cities within India and will also enter the markets of America and the United Kingdom.

Confirming this, Pradeep Hirani, chairman, Kimaya Fashions, said: “In the next three years, we are planning to open around 48 outlets as we look to tap markets in smaller cities that include Ahmedabad, Ludhiana, Nagpur and Chandigarh.”

The company presently operates three stores in Mumbai, Delhi and Dubai and will soon announce opening of about 10,000 square feet store in Bengaluru’s The Collection mall in UB City.

The company also plans to ramp up its overseas operations. “We had almost signed on an agreement for a store in the US, but that did not happen. However, we are looking for spaces there and it should happen soon. We also plan to open in UK shortly,” said Hirani.
