Indraprastha University to offer certificate course in retail

In an effort to meet demand of trained manpower in retail, Delhi-based Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIP) has inked an MoU with The NIS Academy to launch a three-month certificate course in retail. The first batch will commence on 26 July 2008.

Speaking about the initiative, Prof. KK Aggarwal, vice chancellor, GGSIP University, said, “This partnership will not only contribute to meeting demand for manpower, but also enable quality education through university-certified programmes.”

Highlighting the significance of the partnership, Manoj Chawla, senior vice president and head, employability solutions, NIS Sparta, said: “We, at the NIS Academy, are focusing on enhancing employability of young and aspiring Indians. GGSIP University is also dedicated to the cause of offering quality education to promising young Indians. Through this tie-up, we hope to leverage on each others’ strengths to offer job-oriented vocational, training and empowerment programmes.” The NIS Academy is a division of NIS Sparta Ltd, a Reliance ADA Group company.
