Aloke Banerjee to head Rosebys in India

Rosebys, UK-based textiles and home furnishings retail chain, which is owned by Sanjay Dalmia-led GHCL, has appointed Aloke Banerjee as its CEO for India operations.

While confirming the development to Indiaretailing, Banerjee said that Rosebys will open its first shop in August this year. Banerjee will spearhead rollout and expansion plans for Rosebys stores in India.

Announcing the development, Sanjay Dalmia, chairman, GHCL, said: “We are signing contracts with several franchisees to make Rosebys stores approachable and provide in store experience to our customers. We are delighted to welcome Banerjee on board as he brings in wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area.”

Banerjee comes with over 15 years of experience and was previously working as the CEO for S Kumar’s Nationwide Limited (SKNL). Banerjee has had successful stints with Tata Tea, Britannia and Bombay Dyeing.
