Asked if the Deisel and Arvinds Brands JV is on the verge of break-up, he said, “These are all speculations and I cannot comment on this. Whatever a section of media is reporting is based on industry rumours. Otherwise, we do have major expansion plans of our own.”

Quizzed about the retailing strategy, Suresh said, “We are looking at a viable model; the brands might have flagship stores and will retail through exclusive outlets and even multi-brand outlets.”

Last month, Arvind Brands had announced a new licensing agreement with Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation to design and distribute apparel under its well-known IZOD sport-inspired lifestyle brand.
