Kutchina plans retail entry

The Kolkata-based Bajoria Appliances Private Limited (BAPL) is planning to enter retail by launching exclusive brand outlets for its domestic appliances brand Kutchina.

Namit Bajoria, director, BAPL, in a statement said: “With an investment of Rs 25 lakh, we are launching an exclusive Kutchina brand outlet at Rajarhat, Kolkata. This will cover an area of over 2,200 square feet.”

The company is opting for the franchise route and planning to open around 30 outlets all over India within the next year.

According to the company, the Kutchina brand enjoys a 15 per cent share of the national market.

At present, the compnay’s turnover strands at Rs 45 crore. It expects to touch Rs 75 crore in this fiscal and Rs 100 crore by 2010.
