With investments of over Rs 300 crore, N Kumar Group, which operates Poonam Mall in Wardhaman Nagar, Nagpur, is developing three new Poonam malls in the city.
Confirming the news to Indiaretailing, Vijaykumar, executive director, N Kumar Group, said, “We are developing three projects, one each in VIP Road, Khamla and Byramji Town areas of Nagpur.”
Spread across 325,000 square feet, the mall at VIP Road will be completed by May 2008, while the mall at Khamla is in 400,000 square feet and is slated to be completed by December 2008. The third, 600,000 square feet mall at Byramji Town is the biggest, and is expected to be operational in 2009.
Speaking about the tenants at the malls, Vijaykumar said, “The mall at VIP Road will have Lifestyle’s Max as an anchor. Odyssey Bookstore and Pizza Hut have also confirmed their space.”
The company plans to house one hypermarket, a multiplex, a department store and a fast food chain for its Khamla mall.
