Grab to introduce new apparel brands

Textile major Krishna Group plans to tie up with around 20 international brands to retail in its multi-branded Grab Store in the country.

“We have already tied up with 30 brands, and in the next two months we are planning to tie up with 20 more national and international brands. We are in the final stages of sealing deals with Van Heusen, Allen Solly, ColorPlus and Thomas Scot, among others,” Krishna Tayal, head, Grab Store, said in a statement.

The firm has already tied up with brands like Nike, Puma, Adidas, Reebok, Lee, Giny & Jony, Levi’s, and Spykar.

The group plans to increase the total count of Grab Store from 3 to 50 by 2010, at an investment of around Rs 400 crore. The company is also eyeing a turnover of Rs 500 crore by 2011 from its retail business, after its 50 stores get operational. Presently, its retail turnover stands at around Rs 125 crore.
