    Chiripal unveils ConneXions for youth


    Kickstarting its business-redefining agenda, Ahmedabad-based textile conglomerate has unveiled its lifestyle apparel brand christened ConneXions. The company, yesterday, also announced the opening of its first EBO in Ahmedabad. Chiripal plans to have 30 exclusive outlets operational across the country by the end of next fiscal.

    When quizzed about the company’s plan, , director, Chiripal Group, told Indiaretailing, “We have opened the first company-owned ConneXions outlet at 10 Acres Mall in Ahmedabad. The company plans to have around 30 such outlets in 2008-09 fiscal. Of these, 11 will be opened in Gujarat – four in Ahmedabad, two each in Vadodara and Surat, and one each in Rajkot, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar. We also plan to open four outlets in Mumbai and one each at Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur and Udaipur.”

    Speaking about the model, Chiripal informed: “At present, our focus is on opening company-owned stores with an outlay of Rs 15 crore. However, we are also open to franchisees. We may have around 50 franchisee outlets by the end of March 2009.”

    Talking about the brand, Chiripal said: “ConneXions is a casualwear for men and women. The quality of the garment is equivalent to premium segment, but even the common man can afford it. Jeans are priced between Rs 199 and Rs 1,399.”

    ConneXions casualwear range comprises knit t-shirts, denims, skirts, Capri and polar jackets. Might and party wear are also on offer.

    The company is expecting to make Rs 50 crore from its retail business.
