Ad fest in Goa

Must Read

The Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) in association with Ad Club Bombay is organising the annual advertising festival in Goa on April 3.

“Last year, nearly 2,300 delegates attended, of whom over 800 were under 30 years old. This year we expect this number to increase substantially. The coming together of AAAI and Ad Club is a landmark event, made possible by the desire of the entire industry to have one award and one glorious festival,” said Madhukar Kamath, president, AAAI.

Bhaskar Das, president of Ad Club Bombay, said: “The industry is witnessing challenging times, for which we need to focus our priorities on doing things in a collaborative manner, and not dissipate energy through frictional losses.”

The fest will be held at Cavelossim Beach, Goa, in a specially created Advillage.

The festival will begin with an industry conclave in which advertising and media professionals will debate issues and challenges faced by the industry, followed by media awards on April 4; the Abby advertising awards will be presented on April 5.

Speakers this year include Garrick Hamm, creative partner, Williams Murray Hamm; Donald Gunn of the famous Gunn Report on advertising; Craig Davis, worldwide creative chief, JWT; and Stephen Gatfield, chief executive officer, Lowe Worldwide.
