First Footprint for the North

Reliance Retail, Saturday, opened first Reliance Footprint outlet in Northern India, the third in the country, at Star City Mall in East Delhi.

The other two outlets were launched last year in Bengaluru and Hyderabad respectively.

“The launch is a step forward to extend international standards of service, quality and experience. On display are international brands such as Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Lee Cooper, Clarks, Levis, Piccadilly and our private labels including Mancini, Tosca and Viviana,” said G Sankar, chief executive, footwear, Reliance Retail.

Spread across 7,500 square feet, the store will rertail footwear, handbags and accessories, and has on display a range of over 25,000 products for men, women and children.

“We selected this mall for our first outlet in the capital as its customer profile will be attracted by the quality of goods on display. We also expect good footfalls in this place, ” Sankar told Indiaretailing.

“Reliance Footprint plans to open 15 such large-speciality stores, across metros and mini-metros, within the next 12 months,” Sankar added..

Discussing design philosophy of the store, Sankar said: “The design of Footprint has been conceptualised by the US-based Pavlik, one of the best design houses in the world. The store is built in sync with taste and preferences of the Indian customer.”
