The New Year party lovers in Goa will have another destination to celebrate this December, as 32nd Milestone, a brand name in entertainment and hospitality, will come up with a similar venture in the city.
The company has already acquired land at prominent locations including beaches in Goa, and will announce the launch of its operations in the city by end of this year. However, the format of hospitality or entertainment facility has not been disclosed.
Confirming the company’s operations in Goa, Mamta Sharma, executive director of 32nd Milestone, told Indiaretailing: “We are in process of establishing our facility in Goa and are not disclosing much information on the project. The new venture is, of course, in sync with our entertainment and hospitality business. We will announce the formal launch in December.”
Asked if the company faced obstructions in acquiring land due to high real-estate costs, Sharma said: “We somehow benefited from the rise in prices as it helped us in disposing off our old properties at good rates and buy more at desired locations. In any case, the property in Goa was bought a couple of years ago, when the property boom was not the way it is now.”
Established in 1990, 32nd Milestone is also known for organising the world’s longest dance party in November 1999, registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Under the 32nd Milestone umbrella, there are many popular brands including Caravan Serai, a speciality restaurant serving Indian and Mughlai cuisines, Café Road House, a fast food restaurant and a highway eatery, Club 32, a well-stocked bar, The House of Bamboo, a Chinese speciality restaurant, and Sizzlers Restaurant.
32nd Milestone is probably the first one to introduce automated bowling centre and go-karting in the NCR region.
