Royal Palms in tie-up with Great Hotels of the World

Hospitality player Royal Palms has formalised a co-branding and marketing tie-up with Great Hotels of the World for its luxury hotel coming up at Goregaon, Mumbai.

The Palms, slated for opening this month, is claimed to be the second in the country to be a part of the Great Hotels chain after Taj Exotica, Goa. It comprises 116 super luxury villas and facilities such as theme restaurants, spa and lounge.

Great Hotels is the flagship brand of Great Hotels Organisation, a global hotel sales and marketing chain that provides products, services and innovative technology solutions to hotel managements. It offers marketing alliances through the Great Hotels and Special Hotels of the World, which has 260 top-end hotels and resorts in its chain.

The Palms is the second hotel in the Royal Palms Group. The first hotel is a 237-room, five-star set-up, also in Goregaon. It has a tie-up with Park Plaza of the Carlson Group. “The Park Plaza Royal Palms has generated revenues of Rs 130 crore in two years. From The Palms also we are expecting revenues of upwards of Rs 75 crore in the first year,” Dilawar Nensey, joint managing director, Royal Palms, stated.

The Palms will be bracketed in the super luxury range and rooms will be priced at Rs 20,000 per day and above.

Royal Palms is constructing two more hotels at Goregaon, with 438 and 250 rooms, respectively. The company has planned an investment of Rs 1,000 crore by 2010.
