Madura Garments to launch LP brand

Must Read

Nearly 8-9 months after the successful launch of V Dot, a sub-brand from Van Heusen, Madura Garments is executing a similar strategy with its other leading brands. The company will soon introduce a sub-brand for its premium menswear brand Louis Philippe under the name LP, according to industry sources.

LP brand will be retailed through MBOs and exclusive Louis Philippe stores across the country. Like its V Dot, the LP brand will target the youth with preppy designs and bold colours. The brand is set to make its debut in Bangalore in the next 2-3 months.

“Yes, we are working on something different and will reveal the details with a proper presentation at a different point of time,” Vishak Kumar, brand head, Louis Philippe, told Indiaretailing.com. According to him, the official announcement will be made by July-end.

The company also plans to roll out two private labels in its Trouser Town format, under the names Live Wire and Easy Street. Both the brands are also learnt to be targeted at the youth.

“We are not making any comment on that, please speak with our president for details,” said PR Rathod, brand head, Trouser Town. However, Hemchandra Javeri, president, Madura Garments, was not available for comment.
